It all starts here.

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts is proud of its connection to the Boston Marathon. The 2018 Boston Marathon is Monday, April 16. Each year it starts in Hopkinton, Massachusetts and the HCA hosts hundreds of runners as they await their starting times in the morning.

Heart, Courage, and Sweat: The Kids' Marathon Show

Clara Vanguri, age 7, From Start to Finish

While the runners prepare, they'll have the chance to view an art exhibit created in their honor at the HCA Lotvin Family Gallery. Heart, Courage, Sweat features the artwork of students in grades K through 12. It showcases their perception of the spirit of the Boston Marathon.

In particular, we asked the student artists, "What inspires you?" The public is invited to come and see the results at the opening reception Saturday, April 28, from 1 to 2 p.m. There is plenty of free parking at the fully accessible Lotvin Gallery, HCA, 98 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinon, MA. The exhibit will run through May 3.
