HCA Membership Guidelines

Insider: Student, Senior, Teacher, Military Membership:

We all are students of life, but the student discount is designed only for those currently in a degree bearing course of study. Individuals 62+ qualify for the senior discount. Teacher is defined as anyone whose occupation is teaching others in a public or private academic institution. Military is defined as anyone currently serving or has served in one of the five branches of the U.S. Armed Forces.

For up to five immediate family members. Please note that the discounts included with the Family Membership are for those family members identified when signing up.

Available to one and all.

Tax Deduction Information – The Hopkinton Center for Arts is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) cultural institution. The IRS considers charitable contributions as the difference between your gift and the fair market value of any goods or services received in exchange. The gift amount minus the value of benefits received by the donor may be considered tax deductible to the extent allowable by law. Valued benefits can be waived by the donor, allowing the full donation to be considered a charitable gift.

These institutions include The Danforth Art MuseumdeCordova Sculpture Park and MuseumHarvard Art Museums, and Discovery Museum.

The North American Reciprocal Museum Association (NARM) network encompasses 1,178 art museums and galleries, historical museums and societies, botanical gardens, children’s museums, and zoos. NARM offers a searchable map of participating organizations which is updated quarterly.

The Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) also connects an expanding list of world-class institutions in the US, Canada and South America for the benefit of their Members. 

How does it work? Membership cards for now bear a gold NARM sticker and silver ROAM sticker. When visiting a participating organization, simply present your card with these stickers to receive the benefits.
