NEW! Study and Enrichment Program

Hopkinton Center for the Arts
Study & Enrichment Program (SEP)

** Please note that if you are a resident outside of Hopkinton and are interested in the SEP program, the HCA will work with you to customize the program for your needs/schedule if spots are available in the program**

The Hopkinton Center for the Arts (HCA) is offering a Study & Enrichment Program (SEP) for Fall 2020 for students in grades 2 through 8. The program is created to work with the Hopkinton School District's Hybrid school learning plan, with students attending the SEP program on the days they are not in school. The on-site program in our bright and airy loft features small class sizes where students can work on school assignments under adult supervision and have access to enrichment programs in the arts. Additional educational support is available through Education Station. The program will take place a the HCA (98 Hayden Rowe St.)

Safety Measures
Over these past few months the HCA, in consultation  with the Hopkinton Health Department, has put systems and safety measures in place that resulted in a successful COVID-free summer. All of these safety procedures will remain in effet through the fall, including small class sizes, mask wearing, and frequent sanitizing and cleaning of surfaces, supplies, and equipement. You can view the full list of measures in the attachment at the bottom of this page.

Our Role
During asynchronous learning time, the HCA staff will serve as a monitor to keep students focused on their learning activities. Educational support is available through Education Station, which can provide remote learning services with certified teachers. It is the responsiblity of parents to provide their children with the electronic devices, chargers, noise canceling headphones and/or any other learning materials, and peanut/tree-nut free snacks and lunch.

As a community arts center, SEP will also offer activities twice a day in Fine and Performing Arts, including Movement, Visual Art, Music and Theater/Improv.

Note: This program being offered is not licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care or any other state agency.
