Hopkinton Center for the Arts - Art Around the World series presents a free children's cultural program. You and your child are welcome to join us  as we celebrate a different culture each month with instructor Judith Smith. Kids will listen to a story, hear a themed-song and have fun making a culturally themed art craft. Program runs Saturday 2 - 3 pm via a Zoom link. Participants will be sent a list in advance of simple materials to provide your child for the craft. A computer screen and internet connection is required. 

Recommended for ages 3 to 8. 

Pre-registration is required per family. This program is offered at no cost. Donations are encouraged and can be made here: CLICK TO MAKE DONATION

November 21 Egypt 

Draw like an Egyptian with Ms. Judy!

All you need is brown paper or a paper bag, pencil, black Sharpie marker, other color markers, crayons, oil pastels or watercolor and safe scissors.

We will look at pictures of the Nile River, The Great Sphinx and King Tut's tomb. We will listen to Egyptian instrumental music and draw our portraits as King Tut or Queen Nefertiti on "papyrus" with a cartouche message in hieroglyphics. You could also use a printed picture of yourself in profile!
