Decorate your own Walking Stick

Ages 10-99|Grades 4th- adult

Get ready for Spring hiking or just making a fun piece of art! Join artist and instructor Bayda Asbridge as she guides you through decorating a walking stick. Students will have a choice of zentangle patterns to choose from prior to the workshop to personalize your piece. This is a great family activity!

This is a 2-hour interactive workshop presented online via Zoom. For ages 10-adult. Students will need to purchase supplies in advance.

Supply list:

A stick that needs to be sanded, clean and ready to be decorated. (Can be found on Etsy)

Small bottle of Sumi-e ink

Fine brush (happy dot)

Small bottle of fabri-tac glue

Set of different hemp cords for decorations of your choice (can be found at Walmart)

Wood sealer (oil base)

Paint brush

Art Adventures Session 2

Ages 5-7|Grades k -2nd

This fun, online class will involve creating unique pieces of art that connect to science, history, and math. Excellent for the development of fine motor skills and cognitive fuctions. An art kit is included in the tuition for this program.

Instructor: Judy Smith. 6 classes. A laptop, tablet or video-conferencing device and a reliable internet connection are required for this class. Class dates will be 3/13, 3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/17. 

An art kit will be provided by the HCA which parents can pick up prior to the start of the session.
