Art Parties & Workshops

Looking for a unique get together, corporate workshop, or birthday party idea? The Hopkinton Center for the Arts offers a variety of packages for children, teens, and adults.
 

Choose from these options:

  • Art Parties for Kids (ages 4 and up)

  • Ceramics Parties (ages 7 and up)

  • Junior Actors (ages 5–10)

Art Parties for Kids

Includes
  • Use of the HCA’s second floor event space

  • Two-hour party rental

  • One hour art lead activity (tailored to specific ages and your child’s favorite book, sport or hobby)

  • All art materials (additional cost may be added for complicated or expensive materials)


Participants: up to 12

Ages: 4 and up

Price: $450*

 

*$10 per additional child over 12 participants. Price reflect daytime events.

Ceramics Parties

Includes
  • Two and a half hour instructor led ceramics project in our Ceramics Studio

  • Birthday person's choice of a ceramics hand building project*

    • Birthday person will be given a chance to throw clay on a wheel after hand building project is complete.

  • Use of a nearby separate room for 30 minutes for food/dessert. Client will be responsible for providing all the food/beverages and table coverings. 

Participants: Minimum of 4–Maximum of 10 participants.

Grades: 2nd–12th and Adults
Cost: $475 (if a separate space is not needed for food/dessert, the cost is discounted to $400)

*Projects will be available for pick up 2–4 weeks after the party and will be food and dishwasher safe. Parents/guardian of birthday celebrant are responsible for project pick-up art the HCA and distribution to party participants.

Junior Actors

Includes
  • Use of the HCA’s second floor event space for two-hours (includes set-up and break-down)

    • One hour of fun-filled activities, including acting games and the opportunity to create their own scenes

    • One hour for party

  • An assortment of costumes and props

Music for Kids

Includes
  • Use of the HCA’s second floor event space for two-hours (includes set-up and break-down)

    • One hour of fun-filled activities, including, Echo songs, Circle Games, SongTales, classical music, and so much more. Perfect for any child that loves to sing, dance, and move their bodies!

    • One hour for party

FAQ

The Answers You Need

For kid’s parties, parents are responsible for set-up, decorations, and cleanup. NO piñatas or confetti are allowed.

Who is responsible for set-up of the party?

You may arrive 15 minutes early for your party. To be able to fit in all of the fun activities, please be on time! Guest will be directed to your party room when they arrive. The room must be vacated after the two hours and left in the state in which it was found. Prices reflect daytime events.

When can I arrive to decorate and set-up?

The HCA does not provide food or refreshments. There is no kitchen on site. Parents are responsible for refreshments, along with the set-up and cleanup. You may bring a store-bought cake, ice cream and refreshments to the party. You may have pizza delivered from one of the local pizzerias or ask us about our list of preferred caterers. NO home-made goods allowed.

Does the HCA provide food?

The instructor and staff on hand are not there to babysit the children. At least two parents must be present to supervise children at all times. 

Once the activity starts can I leave the children with the instructor?

To be able to fit in all of the fun activities, please be on time! Guest will be directed to your party room when they arrive.

When can my guests arrive?

The room must be vacated after the two hours and left in the state in which it was found. This includes removal of all items brought into the building. There is a dumpster and recycling bin in the parking lot for all trash to be disposed. Push brooms and mops are available if needed.

What happens at the end of the party?

Each art activity is priced according to materials and instructor fees. Additional costs can apply depending on number of participants, extended party hours, or materials needed.

 

A non-refundable 25 percent deposit is required to hold the space with the balance due on the day of the party. Please book parties at least two-weeks in advance. Party rentals are based on availability. All party payments are nonrefundable. All prices reflect daytime events.

Corporate Workshops

Voice and Presence

Having stage presence, a strong and expressive speaking voice, and commanding a room are skills that can be developed. The first step in effective communication is becoming aware of and releasing habitual tensions in the voice and body. Through breath, alignment and vocal exercises this class will give you the tools to feel more confident and at ease in front of an audience, giving presentations at business meetings or public speaking engagements.
