Call for Art

The HCA Gallery mounts 9–12 exhibitions per year each of which are on view from four to eight weeks. New group exhibition opportunities are considered each season, along with several shows that have become annual events, including the Arts in Bloom open juried show, the HCA Members’ juried show, and the Hopkinton High School Honors exhibit.

Artists may present work for consideration by responding to group and juried show opportunities listed below. Artists and exhibition organizers may also present for consideration show exhibition proposals, which are reviewed by the HCA jurying committee on a quarterly basis.

We are excited to announce our eighteenth annual Arts in Bloom show, juried by Kaveh Mojtabai. KAVEH MOJTABAI is the founder and publisher of Artscope Magazine, a multi-platform media company dedicated to reviewing art exhibits and artist profiles; covering cultural events; connecting artists with their audience; and creating access to the arts. Previously, he worked at a global consulting firm.

Arts in Bloom is a competitive juried annual show open to all artists. Kaveh will choose the artwork to be exhibited, and will also select six outstanding works for awards. These artworks will be honored with fresh flower arrangements designed by Hopkinton Garden Club members for the reception on May 12th. The six winning artists will receive cash prizes totaling over $1,000.

Theme: Thrive

From our juror : "In events, we are constantly in transactions with beauty; experiment with techniques, colors, design, and subject matter; let's thrive in every language and interpretation in Art in Bloom." - Kaveh Mojtabai
