The Lotvin Family Gallery

The HCA opened this beautiful exhibition space in 2015 through a generous donation by Lorelei and Alan Lotvin. Its purpose is to provide adventurous exhibitions of work by established artists, emerging artists, members of the HCA community, and educational and community projects.

Our Exhibitions

Through a mix of shows, the gallery seeks to engage and expand its audience for contemporary visual art. A typical exhibition season includes solo and group exhibitions, an open juried exhibition (Arts in Bloom), a juried exhibition of members of the HCA, and an exhibition by Hopkinton High School Honors students. In the spirit of accessibility and communal art appreciation, our art exhibits are free and open to the public.

Arts In Bloom

May 5 to May 28, 2026

The theme for this year’s Art in Bloom is For the Birds. This phrase, commonly used as an idiom, refers to something perceived as worthless, not to be taken seriously, of no value, or only believed by the gullible. For instance, one might say, “This party is for the birds—let’s get out of here,” to express a dismissive or irreverent attitude.

A Memoir in Mugs

April 28 to June 4, 2026

Memoir in Mugs is an intimate exploration of identity, resilience, and becoming. What began with a single, gifted mug—carried through seasons of motherhood, loss, and rebuilding—grew into a meditation on how stories live within ordinary objects. Each mug in this exhibition holds a poem and a moment: a memory, a fracture, a turning point. Quiet and layered, the work invites reflection and stillness, revealing how personal history can exist beyond words—and how stories themselves can become art.
