ADULT AUDITIONS! A Hatful of Rain

Hopkinton Center for the Arts announces auditions for Enter Stage Left Theater's production of  "A Hatful of Rain." Enter Stage Left Theater, the Resident Theater Company of The Hopkinton Center for the Arts, will be holding auditions for Michael V. Gazzo's classic 1950s American drama "A Hatful of Rain," for performances to be held on October 11, 12 and 18, 19, 2024, to be directed by Paul Champlin. This Award-winning drama relates the family turmoil posed by addiction after a young Korean War veteran returns home with opioid dependence. Auditions will be held on Sunday, May 12, from 4 to 6 p.m., and Monday, May 13, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the HCA, 98 Hayden Rowe St., Hopkinton, MA.

There are roles for nine actors:

2 men (20s-30s)

1 woman (20-30s)

1 man (50s-60s)

5 men (Various ages.  Women could also be considered for some of these roles)

Auditioners may come with a short monologue if preferred but will be asked to read from the script. Rehearsals will be held Monday and Thursday evenings (and potentially some Sunday evenings) starting August 19, 2024.
