Drawing Foundations Workshop

Gain foundational drawing skills in this one-day summer workshop. We'll start by discussing the basics of charcoal and its significance within classical to contemporary drawing methods and painting preparation. Learn all of charcoal's possibilities, from the loose organic nature of the medium to the precision and extreme detail you can also accomplish. Moving past charcoal exercises, we will talk about graphite and the range of pencils available and learn the steps on how to draw transfers from images to canvas.
