Welcome to HCA’s Community Kiln —
We’re thrilled to welcome Community Kiln and its vibrant community of ceramic artists into the HCA family!
Located at 46 Park Street in Framingham, Community Kiln has long been a creative home where artists can learn, experiment, get their hands muddy, and connect with others who share a love of clay. As HCA begins this exciting new chapter with Community Kiln, our priority is to preserve the welcoming, supportive environment that makes this studio so special.
Community Kiln welcomes students of all backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels. Whether you’re sitting down at the wheel for the first time, developing your skills, creating functional pieces like mugs, bowls, and serving ware, or exploring the sculptural possibilities of clay, there is a place for you here.
A Creative Community
More than just a place to make pottery, Community Kiln is a place to create, connect, and belong. Students ages nine through adult are encouraged to explore their own artistic vision while learning from talented instructors and finding inspiration in one another. We’re proud to foster an inclusive, supportive environment where individuality, creativity, and lifelong friendships can thrive.
The studio features 12 pottery wheels, spacious hand-building tables, a slab roller, an extruder, two kilns, more than 20 glazes, plus slips, underglazes, oxides, and a wide variety of hand-building and surface-design tools.
Looking Ahead
Community Kiln will remain at its home at 46 Park Street. During our first year of programming together, HCA plans to maintain the existing studio and programming environment while we listen, learn, and work with the Community Kiln community to build a strong foundation for the future. Looking ahead, we’re excited about opportunities to grow and expand the program within the building and beyond.
Fall 2026 Registration
Beginning with Fall 2026, registration for Community Kiln classes will take place through HCA.
Community Kiln students are also invited to become HCA Insider Plus members, which includes one week of early access to class registration, a 5% discount on classes, 10% off HCA performances, and free or discounted admission to more than 1,000 museums and cultural institutions.
We’re excited about what’s ahead—and even more excited to build it together.
