Experiments with Print Making

Explore the exciting medium of relief printing! Using a linoleum block, we'll learn how to print by hand by carving our designs and transferring them to create unique pieces of art filled with layers of tones and textures.

We will begin with an overview of the relief process, going over the different tools, surfaces, and materials while also getting inspiration from artists who have mastered the technique. Throughout the weeks, we will progress to more complex compositions, moving from 2 colors with a reduction process to using multiple blocks and rolling techniques to create varied artwork.
