Summer Positions

Theater Instructor

Hopkinton Center for the Arts is seeking energetic, experienced theater enthusiasts to serve as instructors for our summer day programs. Instructors will serve as positive role models for students with a variety of abilities in grades 2 through 8. The ideal candidate will have both theater experience and experience working with children. Camp experience and/or working with large groups of children required.

The one-week programs are intended to provide a fun, safe, creative place to nurture our students performance abilities. The programs are Monday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18+
  • Strong background in theater production.
  • Experience working with children in a camp or educational capacity is preferred.
  • Must pass a background check

Summer program will run over the course of six weeks. Multiple applicants are welcome to apply for one or more weeks. Please submit a resume to sandee@hopartscenter.org and indicate the weeks you are available.

Week 2: 7/15-7/19
Week 3: 7/22-7/26
Week 4: 7/29-8/2
Week 5: 8/5-8/9

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: $400.00 to $500.00 /week based on experience
 

Movie-Making Instructor

Hopkinton Center for the Arts is seeking an energetic, experienced movie-making instructor. Instructors will serve as positive role models for students with a variety of abilities in grades 4 through 8. The ideal candidate will have movie-making experience as well as experience working with children.

The one-week programs are intended to provide a fun, safe, creative place to nurture our students interests in performing in front of the camera and operating behind the camera in order to create short films and commercials that are written by the students. The programs are Monday - Friday, 9 am - 3 pm

Key Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Editing and film experience
  • Experience working with children in a camp or educational capacity is preferred
  • Must pass a background check

Summer program will run on the weeks noted below:

Week 1: 7/8-7/12
Week 2: 7/15-7/19

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: $1,200.00 /week
