Artist Reception: Nocturnes and Night Thoughts

Hopkinton Center for the Arts welcomes five painters to The Lotvin Family Gallery for a group show, “Nocturnes and Night Thoughts”: Stacey Cushner, Percy Fortini-Wright, Gregory Kitterle, Christopher Volpe, and Dianna Vosburg. Exploring nocturnal realms in paint, these artists share their experiences of the night in all its moods. From the cool beauty of moonlight, gardens at night, scientific space imagery, a long drive after dark, dreamlike visions, sublime dramas in light and dark, melancholy and the memento mori, to the colorless color of the deepest black, these artists share a fascination with vision in a dark place.
