Painting Thumbnails: Composition Workshop

Build your composition skills as we practice making quick, simple thumbnails. All experience levels are welcome, and we'll focus on value and clarity. The technique requires minimal supplies—grey markers, paper, and pencils.

The finished thumbnails are works in their own right. They give the effect of looking at the work from a distance, which can intrigue viewers even more as they are drawn in for a closer look. Instructor Marion Buricatu will guide you through examples from American masters, making the learning process enjoyable and enriching.
