This free tour and workshop will be held at the HCA, 98 Hayden Rowe, on July 13 from 1-3PM and is open to all ages. Art supplies are included. Limit 20 participants.

"Smiling Out Loud" Exhibition Tour and Art Workshop
The Smiling Out Loud exhibition reflects DaNice D. Marshall's view that a warm human connection is made when we smile: "A familiar thread, a reminder that we are more alike than we are different. My hope is that my art makes the viewer smile, just a little bit, at least on the inside."
Join 2024’s Mass MOCA resident fellow DaNice D. Marshall at the HCA for a tour of her solo exhibition "Smiling Out Loud" followed by a workshop with the artist. Using paint, paper, markers or crayons each participant will create a homemade postcard that can be mailed to someone to send a smile. Light refreshments will be served.
Ms. Marshall has exhibited in shows and galleries throughout the United States. In 2025 she received an artist's citation from governor Maura Healey, participated in the city of Newton's "Artful Pianos" project and has shown at the Worcester Art Museum.
